Babel Police to apply new security plan, check points exempted

Babel (IraqiNews.com) Babel Police exempted half of checkpoints in the province from the procedures adopted by its new security plans in the province.

Director General of Babel Police, Major General Sabah al-Fatlawi stated to IraqiNews.com “50% of checkpoints deployed across the province have been excluded for the purpose of intensifying the efforts at specific checkpoints and ensure better performance for the security forces to secure the situations in the province.”

“Babel Provincial Council allocated IQD 510 million from the budget of Promoting Regions Project to rehabilitate the old checkpoints within the administrative borders in the province with the other provinces,”

It is noteworthy that Babel province witnesses from time to time violent activities, security breaches, search-raids and arrest campaigns especially in the northern areas of the province.
