 Baghdad Health Department: 100 people killed, wounded sin Sadr City bombing

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Rusafa Health Department in Baghdad announced on Wednesday, that 100 people had been either killed or wounded in Sadr City bombing in eastern Baghdad.

The Director of Baghdad Health Department, Abdul Ghani Saadoun, said in a brief statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The hospitals of al-Sadr, Imam Ali and Ibn al-Nafis received the bodies of 40 dead and 60 wounded people, who fell in the explosion of a car bomb that took place near Oraiba market in Sadr City in eastern Baghdad,” pointing out that, “The bombing caused a large number of casualties due to the presence of many people in the area of the explosion.”

Saadoun added, “The hospitals provided all the necessary requirements and medical supplies,” indicating that, “The majority of the wounded left the hospitals to their homes.”
