BOC denies reports over clashes in Abu Ghraib

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad Operations Command denied the reports of some media outlets over clashes between the Iraqi Security Forces and the gunmen in Abu Ghraib district of western Baghdad.

Brigadier Saad Maan stated to IraqiNews.com Sunday “The ISF have precautionary operations to attack the shelters of the terrorist groups in some areas outside Abu Ghraib district close to the borders of Anbar Operations Command.”

He stated “The operations achieved great success by killing many criminals and terrorists from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria who tried to negatively affect the security of the citizens on Abu Ghraib,” noting that “The residents of Abu Ghraib welcomed these precautionary operations.”
