BOC forms committee to investigate 13 civilians’ killings
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Baghdad Operations Command (BOC) formed on Monday a “high-ranking” committee to investigate the killings of 13 civilians in Abu-Ghraib district, western Baghdad. “Preliminary information indicates that the incident occurred due to a tribal conflict,” the BOC said in a release received by IraqiNews.com news agency. It said that the criminals dressed in Iraqi army uniform, and used guns with silencers to conduct their crime. “Security forces are still working to nab the killers,” the BOC said. Earlier, a source from the Abu-Ghraib Public Hospital said that the hospital received today 13 dead bodies belonging to civilians who were shot dead. He said that police patrols brought the executed bodies to the hospital, and that all the victims are residents of al-Saadan village, Abu-Ghraib suburb. The source said that the bodies bore signs of gunshot wounds to the head. Abu-Ghraib suburb lies 20 km west of Baghdad. MH (S)/SR 1
