BOC shows al-Baghdadi’s photo

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Interrogations conducted by Iraqi specialized authorities proved that the man who was arrested last Thursday (April 23) is Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, the leader of the so-called Islamic State of Iraq. The official spokesperson of the Baghdad Operations Command (BOC), General Qassim Atta, made this announcement in a press conference in Baghdad while showing al-Baghdadi’s photo to the pressmen in attendance under the condition that they should not address questions. “The arrest operation was conducted by Iraqi forces after intelligence efforts over a period of two months,” Atta said. “Al-Baghdadi’s photo meets the confirmed intelligence information we already have,” he added.
