Body of pregnant woman found in Mandili

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen found the body of a pregnant woman east of Baaquba city on Friday, a local police source in Diala said, adding her death was perhaps over “social” motives. “A young woman between the age of 17 and 20 years old was found dead in the area of al-Nada, Mandili district, (55 km) east of Baaquba. Her body showed signs of having been shot,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The woman was most likely killed several days ago as her body was decomposed beyond identification,” he said. The source said the reason behind the murder was perhaps over “social” problems because no one lodged complaints in this respect to the local police in the area. “The body was removed to a morgue in the city while a probe was launched,” he added.
