Car bomb destroys bridge in Ramadi

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: A booby-trapped car on Saturday exploded on a bridge in southern Ramadi city, destroying part of it, a local police source said. “Unknown gunmen left a car bomb on a bridge across the Euphrates River in Ramadi’s southern area of al-Jazeera,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The blast did not cause casualties, the source pointed out. U.S. and Iraqi forces sealed off the whole area, the source added. Yesterday (Oct. 16), unknown gunmen blew up a bridge that links Zawbaa village and al-Aameriya district in southeastern Falluja City. Ramadi, the capital city of Anbar province, lies 110 km west of Baghdad. SS (P) 1
