Car bomb explodes in Wasit

Wassit (IraqiNews.com) “20 persons were either killed or injured when a car bomb exploded in Wassit province,” security source reported to IraqiNews.com.

The source stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com “The car bomb, which exploded on Wednesday night in Tanmeh village at the entrance of Suwayra district of northern Kut city, resulted in killing five persons and injuring 15 other as an initial count.”

The source added “The police forces cordoned the explosion scene in anticipation of any further attacks while the ambulances transported the dead bodies of the victims to the morgue and the injured people to the hospital for treatment.” \
