26 Citizens killed, injured in Baquba

Diyala, Baquba (IraqiNews.com) More than 20 civilians were either killed or wounded when several Improvised Explosive Devices exploded at a commercial market in Diyala province.

Security source mentioned to IraqiNews.com on Wednesday that ”The IEDs which sequently exploded at a commercial market for selling children clothes, on Wednesday evening, in Filsteen neighborhood of central Muqdadiya district in Diyala province,” noting that “The explosion resulted in killing six civilians and wounding 20 others.”

The source added “The explosion took place while the people were shopping their needs for the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, stressing that ”The police cordoned the explosion scene in anticipation of any further explosions.”

”The police transported the dead bodies to the morgue and the injured people to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded. \
