Clashes between Kurd, Turkomen students in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Clashes have broken out between Kurdish and Turkomen students in Kirkuk’s Technological Institute, causing injuries on both sides, the Director of Kirkuk Police, Lt. Brigadier, Ahmed Smirany said on Monday.   “The Technological Institute in Kirkuk witnessed clashes between Turkomen and Kurdish students, on the occasion of the ‘Turkoman Martyr Day,’ where the Turkoman students raised the flag of the Turkoman Front. This led to the clashes erupting, injuring some students,” Smirany told IraqiNews.com news agency.   SKH (TP)/SR 323
