Coalition forces kill suspected Katai’b Hezbollah gunman

Iraq-Kataib BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Coalition forces killed a suspected Katai’b Hezbollah member and arrested two others during separate operations on Tuesday morning in Baghdad’s Adhamiyah district, the Multi-National Forces said in a statement. “Acting on intelligence information, Coalition forces targeted a key Katai’b Hezbollah leader, believed to be responsible for recent attacks against Iraqi citizens and Iraqi and Coalition forces,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com. “Coalition forces approached the home of the suspected terrorist, and were confronted by an individual in a nearby house. When he approached forces with a hand gun, Coalition forces perceived hostile intent, engaged the man and killed him,” it added. “In a separate operation in Adhamiyah, forces apprehended two other suspected criminals without incident,” it said. The Multinational forces accuse Katai’b Hezbollah of being supported by Iran to launch attacks against Iraqi citizens and Iraqi and Coalition forces. SH (P)/SR 1
