Coalition warplanes kill 30 ISIS elements, foil attack on Haditha
(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – The commander of al-Jazeerah Operations, Maj. Gen. Qasim al-Muhammadi, announced on Monday killing 30 ISIS elements in an aerial strike by the international coalition west of Ramadi.
Muhammadi said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “ISIS gathered its elements in the city of Anah (190 km west of Ramadi) to carry out an offensive on Haditha City (30 km east of Anah),” adding that, “The international coalition aviation conducted air strikes on the [ISIS] masses, resulting in the death of 30 ISIS elements in addition to destroying 10 vehicles that had carried mono guns.”
“The air strikes foiled the ISIS attack on Haditha,” he added.
