IS Detachments Official killed in Houd al-Zour, Diyala

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Diyala Provincial Council’s Security Committee announced on Monday, that the so-called Islamic State’s Detachments Official was killed in Houd al-Zour, northeast of Baqubah, along with one of his aides.
Head of the Security Committee, Sadek al-Husseini, said in a press statement, “The Islamic State’s Detachments Official was killed in Houd al-Zour area (40 km northeast of Baqubah), along with one of his aides, in an operation carried out by al-Hashd al-Shaabi.”
“The operation was conducted based on accurate intelligence information, without any losses or casualties among the ranks of security forces,” Husseini added.
The area of Houd al-Zour is one of the Islamic State’s strongholds in Mukdadiyah District, and characterized by tough terrain.
