Diyala declares alert condition until end of Arbaeen pilgrimage

Diyala, Baquba (IraqiNews.com) The security committee of Diyala Provincial Council declared the extreme alert state and deployed (30,000) security elements to provide protection for Shiite pilgrims.

The Chairman of the security committee, Muthana al-Temimi, reported to IraqiNews.com on Tuesday ”The committee ordered to deploy more than (30,000) security elements to provide protection for all Shiite pilgrims who are heading towards Karbala province through Diyala province to commemorate rituals of Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein and declared the extreme alert condition until the end of Arbaeen pilgrimage.” \
