Emirati official adopts shelling Iraqi paramilitary troops in Syria

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Former vice-chief of Dubai police, Dahi Khalfan, has adopted the shelling against the pro-government paramilitary troops in Syria.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Khalfan said, “I informed Israel presence of Iranian sheep, east of Syria, so it wiped them off the face of the earth.”

“Iran is silent on the results of the massacre. Jaysh-ul Quds will definitely respond against Israel,” he added.

On Tuesday, The media office of Iraqi Vice President Usama al-Nujaifi quoted U.S. ambassador to Iraq Douglas Silliman saying forces had no role in the recent airstrike that killed Iraqi paramilitary troops near the borders with Syria.

In a statement on Monday, the Iraqi Military said troops on borders with Syria were not shelled by the U.S.-led Coalition troops, while other forces that were shelled were 1500 kilometers in the depth of Syria land.

Earlier on the same day, al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces) said up to 34 fighters of its members were killed and wounded Sunday after the U.S.-led international coalition targeted a military outpost in the Syrian city of Al-Bu Kamal.

The Iraqi-Syrian borders are under the control of joint troops of military and border guards.

Iraqi warplanes launched, last month, a new wave of air raids against outposts of the Islamic State group in Syria.
