IS executes senior leader in Tal Afar for breaching allegiance
Mosul (IraqiNews.com) A local source in Nineveh Province informed, on Saturday, that the Islamic State group executed the official of an elite brigade, along with two of his aides, for breaching the pledge of allegiance to the group.
Alsumaria News quoted the source saying, “The self-proclaimed Islamic State group executed, by firing squad, its official of al-Farouq brigade, along with two of his aides, in central Tal Afar, west of Mosul, for breaching the pledge of allegiance to the terrorist group.”
The group carried out the execution, after arresting the official of al-Farouq brigade, along with 20 other leaders, while attending a meeting in Tal Afar, three days ago, the source added on condition of anonymity.
Meanwhile, security forces continue the battles to retake the remaining areas of western Mosul, backed by al-Hashd al-Shaabi units.
