Explosive belt, 6 explosive charges, discovered in Diala
DIALA / IraqiNews.com: An explosive belt and six explosive charges have been discovered by police forces in Miqdadiya township, 45 km to the east of Baaquba city, the center of Diala Province, on Thursday, a security source reported. “Security forces of Miqdadiya township had implemented a security operation in the area, where it discovered an explosive belt in a house belonging to al-Qaeda organization in Lessel village of Miqdadiya township, along with 6 explosive charges in Blour village of the same township,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He pointed out that the said villages “had been among the strongest hiding places of al-Qaeda organization over the past few years, due to the existence of huge orchards, where its armed men had been hiding in.” Baaquba, the center of Diala Province, is 57 km to the northeast of Baghdad.
