Forgery gang arrested in Adhamiya

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Official Spokesperson of Baghdad Operations Command , Dhiya al-Wakeel, announced arresting a gang specialized in forging currency involved six persons in Adhamiya area of northern Baghdad.

Wakeel reported ins statement received by IraqiNews.com that ”The 11th division of Baghdad Operations Command managed, through intelligence efforts in cooperation with the National Security forces, to arrest a gang specialized in forging currency in Adhamiya area.”

He added that ”The members of the gang were arrested red-handed and seized in their possession the printer which is used to forge the currency, computer, IQD (30) million of forged currency and uncompleted forged currency about IQD (20) million ,” noting that “The gang members were delivered to the judicial authority for investigation.” \
