French Mirage jets to be stationed in Jordan to fight ISIS in Iraq
(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, the French Prime Minister Manuel Valls announced that the French army’s Mirage aircrafts began to be stationed in Jordan to fight the ISIS organization in Iraq.
Valls said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Mirage aircrafts were stationed in Amman, Jordan a few hours ago,” noting that, “Everywhere in the world, our armies are proving its capacity to serve France.”
On Sunday morning, Manuel Valls arrived to Niamey in Niger in a visit dedicated to the fight against terrorism. Valls, who was Saturday in Chad, wants to provide support for the French soldiers.
French operation, launched in September 19, depends so far on 9 Rafale warplanes deployed at Dhafra base in the United Arab Emirates.
