Germany announces 60 of its citizens fighting for ISIS are dead

(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, the German domestic intelligence agency announced that 60 Germans were killed, among 550 individuals who traveled to join the ISIS organization in Syria and Iraq, indicating that 9 of them were killed in suicide attacks.

Chairman of the domestic intelligence agency in Germany, Hans Georg Maaßen said in an interview for the German newspaper ‘Welt am Sonntag’—followed by IraqiNews.com,“The authorities are aware now that there are 60 German citizen killed among 550 people who traveled to Syria and Iraq to join extremist groups,” elaborating there were far more than 450 people as once stated by the authorities.

Massen added, “About 60 people of those coming from Germany were either killed or committed suicide,” adding that at least nine of them were killed in suicide attacks.
