Gunman detained, cannonballs seized in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Security forces on Friday arrested a member of a dangerous gang and seized an amount of ammunitions in southern Karbala, the information director of the Karbala police said. “The suspect was arrested in al-Askari neighborhood in west of Karbala for being involved in terrorist operations,” Major Alaa Abass told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Acting on a tip-off, security forces found 57 cannonballs in al-Senaai neighborhood in southern Karbala,” he added.
