Gunmen injure police officer in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A police officer was wounded Monday by gunmen in central Baghdad, according to a security source. “Unidentified gunmen opened fire Monday afternoon (Oct. 4) on Lieutenant Hashem Sattar, an interior ministry’s officer, in front of his house on Palestine street, central Baghdad,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The gunmen wounded him seriously and fled to unknown place,” he added, without giving further details.
