Gunmen seize 400 million dinars dedicated to staff salaries in Basra

(IraqiNews.com) Basra – A security source in Basra province announced on Sunday, that unidentified gunmen driving a modern car had seized 400 million dinars allocated as salaries of employees in the Southern Oil Company.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Unknown gunmen driving a modern car intercepted a government vehicle, carrying the employees’ salaries of the Southern Oil Company working in Majnoon oil field and seized it,” noting that, ”The stolen amount is estimated at 400 million dinars.”
The source, who requested anonymity, added: “The theft occurred in the area of Hartha north of the province.”
