Gunmen shoot down money exchange firm owner, employee

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: An owner of a money exchange firm and one of his employees were killed by unidentified gunmen in central Basra city on Saturday, a security source in the province said. “Two men carrying guns with silencers opened fire on an owner of a money exchange company and an employee in al-Djzaer area, central Basra, killing them instantly,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The gunmen also stole foreign currency and escaped to an unknown place,” the source said, not giving further details about the incident. The oil-rich port city of Basra lies 590 km south of Iraqi capital Baghdad.   AmR (P)/SR 1
