Hand grenade wounds 12 pilgrims in Baghdad
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Twelve pilgrims who were heading to Karbala have been wounded in a hand grenade attack in the capital Baghdad, the Iraqi police said on Tuesday. “Last night, an unknown gunman threw a hand grenade at a group of visitors who were on their way to Karbala in Baghdad‘s southern neighborhood of al-Doura, wounding 12 of them,” a police source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The attacker has managed to escape, the source pointed out. On Monday, (Feb. 1), a female bomber blew herself up among a crowd of Shiite pilgrims who were heading to Karbala in Bob al-Sham area, northern Baghdad, killing 41 and wounding 106 others, according to latest figures.
