High ranking AQI operative nabbed in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi police forces arrested a high ranking operative (Ameer) of the Al-Qaida in Iraq (AQI) organization east of the Baaquba city. “The arrest took place yesterday in a security operation in the Zaghniya district of the al-Miqdadiya suburb, 45 km east of Baaquba,” a local police source told IraqiNews.com news agency on Sunday. He noted that the operation relied on intelligence tip off. “The arrested AQI operative is wanted for the judiciary for killing 15 people in the Diala province,” the source added.
