IED blast northeast of Baqubah kills, wounds 2 volunteer soldiers

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) A local source in Diyala Province declared that two soldiers of al-Hashd al-Shaabi were either killed or wounded in the explosion of an improvised explosive device, northeast of Baqubah, Alsumaria News reported on Sunday.
The source said, “An improvised explosive device, emplaced on an agricultural road near al-Aali village (45 Km northeast of Baqubah) exploded, this evening, on a passing patrol belonging to al-Hashd al-Shaabi, killing one member and wounding another.”
“Security forces cordoned off the area of incident, and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital and the body to the forensic medicine department,” the source added on condition of anonymity.
According to security sources, several attacks are launched on patrols of the security forces in some areas of Diyala Province, leaving casualties.
