(IraqiNews.com) Diyali – A security source in Diyali province said on Saturday that two soldiers were injured in a bomb blast that was targeted at an army patrol in northeast of Baqubah.

The source, issuing a statement, said, “Today, an explosive device that was emplaced on the side of a road near al-Kaba (22 km northeast of Baqubah) went off on an army patrol. Two soldiers were injured in the blast,” adding, “Security forces cordoned off the area and transferred the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment and has called on an investigation into the incident.”
