INIS dismantles terror group in Baghdad, detains 31 terrorists

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi National Intelligence Service (INIS) dismantled a terror group, known as Wilayet Baghdad, and detained 31 terrorists who have admitted committing 52 operations in Baghdad.
The INIS said in a press statement obtained by IraqiNews, “The National Intelligence Service conducted the operation al-Shehab al-Thaqib in order to dismantle terror groups, known as wilayet Baghdad, belonging to the ISIS group elements.”
The statement added, “The operation resulted in detaining 31 terrorists in the areas of al-Karkh, al-Janoub and Diyali,” pointing out that, “The detained individuals admitted committing 52 attacks on different areas of Baghdad since last year.”
