Iranian arrested inside Khanaqin

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Security forces in Diala arrested an Iranian national in an eastern Iraq area while taking photographs of places near security checkpoints, a local security official said on Thursday. “Forces from the Khanaqin District police captured an Iranian man who was entering Iraq for holy places while taking photos of sites near checkpoints,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Kahanqin, 155 km east of Baaquba, is one of the areas subject to dispute between the central government in Baghdad and the semi-autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
