Iranian woman arrested on borders

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: An Iranian woman was arrested on the border outlet of Zurbatiya, 90 km east of al-Kut city, on Saturday with narcotics she planned to bring into Iraq in her possession, the Wassit anti-narcotics department chief said. “The woman was illegallycoming from Iran to Iraq,” Capt. Ahmed al-Abidi told IraqiNews.com. “The woman is remanded in custody pending investigations and would be referred to the prosecution later,” Abidi said, not revealing more details.
