Iraq receives 58 returnees from Jordan
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Displacement & Migration on Sunday received a second batch of 58 Iraqi returnees from Jordan, a media chief said. “The ministry has paid all expenses for the return of these families and provided material assistance for them,” Abdelkareem al-Saadi told IraqiNews.com. Saadi did not reveal the means of transport that brought the families home, but noted that they will receive the one-million-dinar “return donation” ordered by the Iraqi prime minister. Other trips will take place on a regular basis to ensure a safe return for all Iraqis in Jordan, Saadi explained. Last week, more than 58 displaced Iraqis returned home from Jordan, brining the total number of returnees from the kingdom to 116. SS (P)/SR 1
