ISIS governor of Mosul wounded, not killed
(IraqiNews.com) The ISIS governor of Mosul, Hassan Saeed al-Jabouri, known as Abu Talut, is not dead, but has been wounded in an American air strike on his position, according to the ‘Rudaw’ newspaper.
A source told ‘Rudaw,’ that Abu Talut, who was appointed new governor (Wali) of Mosul, has been wounded in an American air strike that targeted his position, though he is alive and being treated at al-Jumhuri Hospital in Mosul.
Abu Talut was appointed new governor of Mosul after his predecessor Radwan Hamdouni, known as Abu Laith, was killed earlier this month in an air strike along with his the ISIS military commander of Mosul.
Noteworthy, U.S. defense officials said last week that several top ISIS leaders had been killed in air strikes, including Haji Mutazz, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s deputy, and the governor of Mosul.
