ISIS kidnaps 30 people from Obeidi clan in Anbar

Anbar (IraqiNews.com) The head of al-Baghdadi Provincial Council Malollah al-Obeidi announced Saturday, that the ISIS group militants abducted 30 people from the clan of al-Obeid in the district of al-Baghdadi.

Al-Obeidi stated to IraqiNews in an interview, “Before afternoon, elements of the ISIS group kidnapped 30 people from the clan of al-Obeidi after attacking the village of al-Mashad in al-Baghdadi district, located 90 km western Ramadi.”

“The hostages were driven to an unknown destination,” he added.

For his part, Commander of Anbar Operations Maj. Gen. Qasim al-Mohamadi urged the government to send military reinforcements to back the security forces, stressing that the group continuously launches rocket attacks on the district.
