ISIS leader pays off warlords to keep fighting, wanders Mosul to avoid targeting
Mosul (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, a local source in the city of Mosul said that the leader of the Islamic state in Iraq and the Levant, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, distributed significant amounts of money to the warlords of ISIS to urge them to keep fighting and not to flee, while the source confirmed that al-Baghdadi is wandering around in private cars and taxi cars to prevent being targeted.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com that “al-Baghdadi distributed huge amounts of money to the warlords of the terrorist organization ISIS to encourage them to continue fighting and not to flee in front of the aerial bombardment, and the advancement of the Iraqi security forces to the areas around the city of Mosul.”
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added that “since his arrival to Mosul, after fleeing from the violent aerial bombardment on the Syrian city of Raqqa, al-Baghdadi is wandering around in different taxi and private cars for fear of being targeted by the aviation of the International Alliance.”
