(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – Kurdistan Democratic Party revealed on Saturday, that the so-called ISIS stole 99 rare archaeological pieces from the University of Mosul Museum (405 km north of Baghdad), while pointed out that ISIS militants moved the pieces to their stronghold in the Syrian city of Raqqa.

The spokesman of Kurdistan Democratic Party in Nineveh Saeed Mamousini said in a press statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “ISIS militants stole 99 rare archaeological pieces from the Museum of the University of Mosul.”

Mamousini added, “ISIS militants took these pieces to the city of Raqqa in Syria, in order to sell them later.”
