Journalists’ Union mourns dead reporters

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Journalists Union mourned two TV reporters who were killed in the suicide bombing that targeted a national reconciliation conference in western Baghdad, which also injured two other pressmen, according to a release issued by the Syndicate. “We urge all the senior officials, without any exceptions, to enact the bill of journalists’ protection,” said the release that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “This bill is important, especially when considering that these journalists and others who fell have no one to fund their families,” it added. Earlier, an official source said that the suicide bombing that occurred today in Baghdad’s Abu Ghraib area has left 56 persons dead or wounded. MH (P)/SR   1
