Karbala witnesses booby-trapped car blast:

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Iraq‘s Shiite holy city of Karbala has witnessed a booby-trapped car explosion east of the city, aimed at visitors of the holy city on the occasion of the 40th Day of Imam Hussein‘s martyrdom in the dawn of Islam, eyewitnesses said on Monday. “A booby-trapped car explosion took place in Karbala city, some 15 kms to the east of the city, aimed at visitors on occasion of the 40th Day of Imam Hussein‘s martyrdom Day,” an eyewitness told IraqiNews.com news agency, adding that the security bodies of discovered a number of Katusha rockets, ready for launching. Karbala had witnessed a booby-trapped car blast on Monday morning, killing one visitor and wounding 20 others. The Shiite holy city of Karbala had witnessed the visit of millions of visitors from Iraq, Arab and foreign countries, to commemorate the 4th Day of Imam Hussein‘s martyrdom in the 61st Muslim Hijri year in the dawn of Islam.
