KDP announces death and injury of 11 of its staff during the past two days

(IraqiNews.com) The leadership of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Sulaymaniyah announced on Sunday the killing and wounding of 11 of its staff due to operations to storm its headquarters during the past two days, while as pointed out that the party has given a number of its headquarters to the government agencies in order to preserve the safety of citizens.

The leadership of Sulaymaniyah said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The operations to storm the headquarters, which the party had suffered in different areas in Sulaimaniya, led to the martyrdom of two of the party staff as well as wounding nine others,” stressing that, “The Democratic Party supports the peace, reconstruction and security, but the law has to put an end to this fascist heritage. ”

The statement added, “We understand the suffering of the citizens of Kurdistan,” adding that, “We will not allow ISIS to exploit the situation in Kurdistan to take advantage of it. We decided to hand over a number of our headquarters in Sulaimaniya for the government agencies,” pointing out that, “The decision was made to preserve the safety of citizens.”
