Kut’s Mayor fired from his post

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: The Mayor of Kut City, the center of southern Iraq’s Wassit Province, has been fired from his post, under charges of “bad municipal services,” according to a Wassit Council‘s spokesperson on Monday. “Wassit Province’s Council issued a decision on Monday to discharge the Mayor of Kut, Engineer Hussein Allawi, from his post, according to a proposal by the Local Council of Kut City,” Sundis al-Dhahaby told IraqiNews.com news agency. The decision was taken “following the deterioration in the services sector in the City and his Mayorship’s bad administration,” he added.
