Leader of ISIS “Chechen Brigade” killed by shelling in Tel Afar
Nineveh – (IraqiNews.com) ISIS leader of the Chechen Brigade, along with five of his aides were killed in armed confrontations against the forces from al-Hashd al-Shaabi near Tel Afar distrit, in western the province, Alsumaria reported on Saturday.
Alsumaria News stated, “Forces from al-Hashd al-Shaabi shelled, today, a headquarters shelters a number of members belonging to the Islamic State group who fled battles,” adding that, “The shelling resulted in the killing of the so-called Leader of Chechen Brigade of the Islamic State group, along with five of his aides.”
“Forces from al-Hashd al-Shaabi managed to kill tens of ISIS terrorists during the battles to liberate Tel Afar Airport and the surrounding villages,” Alsumaria explained.
It is worth to mention that al-Hashd al-Shaabi militia managed to liberate the airport of Tel Afar, in western Nineveh, on Wednesday (16 November 2016).
