Mentally-disabled woman arrested for kidnapping children in Baaquba

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Police in northeast Iraq’s Diala province have arrested a mentally-disabled woman, charged with kidnapping children and murdering them in the city of Baaquba, the capital of the province, a security source said on Thursday. “The woman, arrested by Diala Police in Baaquba, had kidnapped several children, decapitated them with a knife, and got rid of their bodies either by burying them close to her house or throwing them into Diala River,”he said. The source added that the woman has confessed to having killed 9 children to this date. Baaquba, the capital of Diyala Province, is 85 km to the northeast of Baghdad. SKH (S)/SR 1
