Merchant, bodyguard killed north of Kut

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi merchant and his Egyptian bodyguard were shot dead north of al-Kut city on Saturday, according to an Iraqi police source. “Unidentified gunmen raided the house of a merchant in the district of al-No’maniya, (40 km) north of Kut, shot him and his Egyptian bodyguard dead and escaped to an unknown place,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The forensic report showed that the assailants used guns with silencers in their attack,” he added, noting the police started a probe into the incident.
