Mortar, artillery shells found in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Several mortar and cluster shells on Sunday were found in southern Karbala, according to a local media director. “Forces from the anti-explosives department seized 11 cannon balls and three 82 mm mortar shells in al-Hay al-Sinaie area (3 km south of Karbala city),” Maj. Alaa Abbas told IraqiNews.com news agency. “An empty cluster bomb container was also found in the area,” Maj. Abbas noted, adding that the operation was carried out in light of intelligence tips.
