Mortar shell hits eastern Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: A mortar shell landed on Friday in eastern Karbala, with no word on casualties, according to a security source. “One Mortar shell landed on Qantarat al-Salam region, eastern Karbala, with no word on casualties,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. This the second attack of its kind in the region in two days, as an explosive charge went off at 1:00am on Wednesday (Feb. 3) in the same region, killing six and injuring 19.
