Najaf (IraqiNews.com) A security source of Najaf province reported about “repeated organized assassinations conducted by unidentified gunmen in Najaf province.”The source, who preferred not to mention his name, stated to the correspondent of IraqiNews.com on Sunday ”Dozens of organized assassinations were conducted by unidentified gunmen traveling by vehicles (Hyundai Elantra) type in Najaf province,” noting that “The registration plates of the vehicles belong to Erbil province.”The head of the Security Committee in Najaf Provincial Council, Lo’ay al-Yasiri, denied these reports, saying that ”The province did not conduct any procedures to prevent the movement of the vehicles which carry registration plates that belong to Erbil province on suspicions of implementing assassinations.””The procedures that were applied by several security checkpoints to detain the vehicles, that carry Erbil registration plates, are individual activities and they will be over soon,” he added. \
