Najaf PC deploys security elements in desert of Najaf province

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The Security Committee within Najaf Provincial Council announced deploying the security elements in the desert of Najaf province to avoid any terrorist attacks that threaten the security in the province.

The head of the Security Committee, Khalid al-Jasha’mi, stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The extended meeting that was held in Najaf PC over the security situation resulted in taking a decision over deploying the security forces in the dessert of Najaf province and not to close the old city to facilitate the movement of the citizens.”

“The meeting also resulted in opening the roads leading to the holy shrine of Imam Ali and to Karbala,” he added, noting that “There is coordination between the traffic police and the local police to organize the traffic in the graveyard.”
