We need Shia militia of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi to fight ISIS, says Commander of Anbar Operations

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Wednesday, Commander of Anbar Operations Command Lt. Gen. Mohamed Khalaf announced, that the security forces and al-Anbar need the Shia militia of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi to fight against the ISIS militants in the province.

Lt. Gen. Mohamed Khalaf stated for IraqiNews.com, “The security forces, and especially, Anbar Operations Command need every good soul of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi from the sons of the province or outside the province to fight ISIS,” noting that, “The sons of al-Naseriya, al-Imara, al-Basra, al-Anbar, Kirkuk, Mosul and Salahuddin are fighting the ISIS elements on the land of Anbar.”

“Al-Hashed al-Sha’bi forces are a diverse group of soldiers like a basket of roses,” Khalaf added.
