New police chief in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: A new police chief has been appointed in Wassit province to replace Maj. Gen. Abdelhanin Hammoud al-Amir, the deputy head of the provincial council said on Saturday. “As of today, Maj. Gen. Raed Shakir Jawdat will replace the former official, who has been moved to another position at the headquarters of the ministry in Baghdad, in accordance with a cabinet decision,” Ahmed Hussein told IraqiNews.com news agency.
