9 Iraqi refugees charged with gang raping 28 year old girl

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – An Austrian court has issued an order to detain 9 Iraqi asylum seekers after they were charged with the gang rape of a young German woman.
The accused, aged between 21 and 47 years, have been arrested from various places of central and eastern Austria during a police operation last weekend.
The victim is a young German woman of 28 years. She was unconscious because she was heavily intoxicated during the accident that took place on December 31.
Large numbers of refugees have been detained on charges of sexual assaults or rapes cases in Austria.
Germany on New Year’s Eve witnessed hundreds of sexual assaults in Cologne, which prompted the German parliament to tighten the legislation in this regard.
